The distance between Jispa and Sarchu is around 80 km and takes about 4-5 hours. You can stop at Darcha for breakfast and at Bharatpur for lunch. Once you reach Sarchu, check into your campsite and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Today's drive is going to be a long one, but it's also going to be one of the most scenic ones. You'll be crossing the Gata Loops, Nakee La Pass, Lachung La Pass, and Tanglang La Pass, which is the second-highest motorable pass in the world. The distance between Sarchu and Leh is around 250 km and takes about 10-12 hours. You can stop at Pang for lunch and at Upshi for a tea break. Once you reach Leh, check into your hotel and rest.
Today is a rest day, and you can spend it exploring the city of Leh. You can visit the Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the local markets. You can also try some local food and shop for souvenirs.
Today, you'll be driving to the beautiful Nubra Valley, which is known for its sand dunes and double-humped camels. The distance between Leh and Nubra Valley is around 120 km and takes about 5-6 hours. You'll be crossing the Khardung La Pass, which is the highest motorable pass in the world. Once you reach Nubra Valley, check into your campsite and enjoy the beautiful views.
Today, you'll be driving back to Leh. You can stop at Diskit Monastery on the way and visit the famous statue of Maitreya Buddha. Once you reach Leh, you can spend the evening relaxing and preparing for your journey back home.
