Agra is a city that is steeped in history and culture, and there are plenty of things to see and do here. Here's an ideal itinerary for 2 days in Agra:

Day 1:

• Start your day early with a visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the most iconic landmarks in India. This stunning white marble mausoleum was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The best time to visit the Taj Mahal is at sunrise when the light is soft and the crowds are thinner.
• After visiting the Taj Mahal, head over to Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. This red sandstone fort was built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until the capital was shifted to Delhi.
• In the afternoon, you can explore the local markets and bazaars of Agra. Some popular shopping spots include Sadar Bazaar, Kinari Bazaar, and Shahganj Bazaar. You can find everything from handicrafts and textiles to jewelry and souvenirs here.

Day 2:

• Start your day with a visit to Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city located about 40 km from Agra. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was built by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century and served as the capital of the Mughal Empire for a brief period. The city is known for its stunning architecture and is a must-visit for history buffs.
• After returning from Fatehpur Sikri, you can visit some of the lesser-known monuments in Agra such as Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb, also known as the Baby Taj. This beautiful tomb was built by Empress Nur Jahan in memory of her father and is often referred to as a draft of the Taj Mahal.
