Day 1: Exploring the Old Town and Beaches

Start your day by immersing yourself in the charm of Alicante's Old Town, also known as Barrio de la Santa Cruz. Wander through its narrow, winding streets lined with colorful houses adorned with flowers. Take your time to explore the quaint shops, boutiques, and local artisan workshops.

As you stroll through the Old Town, make your way up to the Santa Barbara Castle, perched on top of Mount Benacantil. The castle offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. You can either hike up or take the elevator for a small fee.

After descending from the castle, head towards the Explanada de España, a beautiful promenade lined with palm trees and mosaic tiles. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the waterfront, taking in the stunning views of the marina and the Mediterranean.

For lunch, indulge in some delicious tapas at one of the many traditional Spanish taverns in the area. Try local specialties like patatas bravas, croquetas, and fresh seafood.

Day 3: Wine Tasting and Castle Exploration

On your final day in Alicante, venture out to the nearby wine region of Vinalopó. Take a guided tour of one of the local wineries and learn about the production process of the region's renowned wines. Enjoy a wine tasting session, savoring the flavors of the local varietals.

After the wine tasting, head to the town of Elche, known for its UNESCO World Heritage-listed Palmeral de Elche, a vast palm grove. Take a leisurely stroll through the palm grove, admiring the beautiful trees and the tranquil atmosphere.

In the afternoon, visit the Castle of Santa Bárbara once again, but this time explore its interior. Discover the history of the castle through its exhibitions and enjoy the panoramic views from its towers.

End your day with a relaxing dinner at one of Alicante's waterfront restaurants, enjoying fresh seafood and a glass of local wine as you reflect on your memorable three days in this beautiful coastal city.
