Itinerary

Argentina is a stunning country with so much to offer, and I’m excited to help you plan a fabulous 10-day itinerary that includes Buenos Aires, Mendoza, and Iguazú Falls. Let’s dive in!

## Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires

Welcome to Buenos Aires! After you check into your hotel, take some time to relax and freshen up. In the evening, head to the vibrant neighborhood of Palermo for dinner. Try some traditional Argentine steak at a parrilla (steakhouse) and maybe even catch a tango show afterward. The energy of the city at night is simply magical!

## Day 2: Explore Buenos Aires

Start your day with a visit to the iconic Plaza de Mayo, where you can see the Casa Rosada (the presidential palace). Then, stroll through the historic San Telmo district, known for its cobblestone streets and antique shops. Don’t miss the San Telmo Market for a quick lunch! In the afternoon, head to La Boca to see the colorful Caminito street and maybe catch some street performers. Wrap up your day in Recoleta, visiting the famous Recoleta Cemetery and enjoying a coffee at a nearby café.

## Day 3: More of Buenos Aires

Today, explore the chic neighborhood of Palermo. Visit the beautiful parks, like the Bosques de Palermo, and check out the local boutiques. In the afternoon, consider a visit to the MALBA (Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires) for some culture. For dinner, try a local pizzeria for a slice of Argentine-style pizza, and if you’re up for it, join a tango class!

## Day 4: Travel to Mendoza

After breakfast, catch a morning flight to Mendoza (about 1.5 hours). Once you arrive, check into your hotel and then head out to explore the city. Visit the Plaza Independencia and the nearby Parque General San Martín. In the evening, enjoy a wine tasting dinner at one of the local wineries or restaurants that specialize in Mendoza’s famous Malbec.

## Day 5: Wine Tour in Mendoza

Get ready for a day of wine tasting! Book a guided tour that takes you to some of the best wineries in the region, such as Bodega Catena Zapata or Bodega Norton. Enjoy tastings and learn about the winemaking process. Most tours include a delicious lunch paired with wine. After a day of indulgence, return to your hotel and relax.

## Day 6: Adventure in Mendoza

Today, embrace the outdoors! Consider a day of hiking in the Andes or perhaps a thrilling white-water rafting experience. If you prefer something more relaxed, a horseback riding tour through the vineyards is a fantastic option. In the evening, unwind at a local restaurant and savor some more of that delicious Argentine cuisine.

## Day 7: Travel to Iguazú

After breakfast, catch a flight to Iguazú (around 1.5 hours). Once you arrive, check into your hotel and then head to the Iguazú National Park. Spend the afternoon exploring the trails and getting your first glimpse of the breathtaking waterfalls. Don’t miss the iconic Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat) viewpoint. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

## Day 8: Iguazú Falls

Today is all about the falls! Spend the entire day in the national park. Take the train to the upper and lower circuits for different perspectives of the falls. You can also take a boat tour that gets you up close to the waterfalls (prepare to get wet!). In the evening, relax at your hotel or enjoy a casual dinner in town.

## Day 9: More of Iguazú or Optional Activities

If you’re up for it, consider a visit to the Brazilian side of the falls for a different view (make sure to check visa requirements). Alternatively, you can explore the surrounding rainforest or visit the Itaipu Dam. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner in Iguazú, perhaps trying some local dishes.

## Day 10: Departure

On your last day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some last-minute shopping or sightseeing. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time for a quick visit to the nearby town of Puerto Iguazú. Then, it’s time to head to the airport for your departure. Safe travels!

And there you have it! A delightful 10-day adventure through Argentina, filled with culture, nature, and, of course, amazing food and wine. Enjoy every moment of your trip! If you have any questions or need further details, feel free to ask!
