Itinerary

Bangkok is a vibrant city with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 2 days in Bangkok:

Day 1:

  • Start your day early with a visit to the Grand Palace, one of the most iconic landmarks in Bangkok. The palace complex includes several buildings, including the famous Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
  • After exploring the Grand Palace, head over to Wat Pho, which is just a short walk away. This temple is home to the famous reclining Buddha statue, which is 46 meters long and covered in gold leaf.
  • For lunch, head to the nearby Tha Tien Market, where you can sample some delicious street food and browse through the stalls selling souvenirs and handicrafts.
  • In the afternoon, take a boat ride along the Chao Phraya River to explore some of Bangkok's canals, or "khlongs". This is a great way to see a different side of the city and experience local life.
  • End your day with a visit to the famous Khao San Road, which is known for its lively atmosphere and street food stalls.

Day 2:

  • Start your day with a visit to the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is one of the largest markets in the world. You can find everything from clothing and accessories to antiques and souvenirs here.
  • For lunch, head to Chinatown, which is known for its delicious street food. Try some of the local specialties like dim sum, roasted duck, and mango sticky rice.
  • In the afternoon, visit the Jim Thompson House, which is a beautiful traditional Thai house that has been turned into a museum. Learn about the life of Jim Thompson, who was instrumental in reviving the Thai silk industry.
  • For dinner, head to one of Bangkok's many rooftop bars, such as Vertigo at the Banyan Tree Hotel or Sky Bar at the Lebua State Tower. Enjoy a cocktail and take in the stunning views of the city skyline.

Of course, there are many other things to see and do in Bangkok, but this itinerary should give you a good taste of what the city has to offer. Have a great trip!
