Itinerary

Barcelona is a beautiful city with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in Barcelona that is family-friendly:

Day 1:

Start your day by visiting the iconic Sagrada Familia, one of the most famous landmarks in Barcelona. This stunning basilica was designed by Antoni Gaudi and is still under construction after more than 100 years. You can take a guided tour or explore on your own.

Afterwards, head over to Park Guell, another masterpiece by Gaudi. The park is filled with colorful mosaics, sculptures, and breathtaking views of the city. Kids will love running around the park and exploring all the nooks and crannies.

For lunch, try some traditional Spanish tapas at La Boqueria Market, located in the heart of Las Ramblas. The market is filled with fresh produce, seafood, and meats, as well as small restaurants serving up delicious bites.

In the afternoon, take a stroll down Las Ramblas, a bustling pedestrian street filled with street performers, shops, and cafes. Stop by the Liceu Theatre, one of the oldest opera houses in Europe, and admire its grand architecture.

Day 2:

Start your day by visiting the Gothic Quarter, the oldest part of Barcelona. Explore the narrow streets and alleys, and visit the Barcelona Cathedral, a stunning example of Gothic architecture.

Next, head over to the Picasso Museum, which houses one of the largest collections of Picasso's works in the world. Kids will love seeing the artist's famous paintings and sculptures.

For lunch, try some paella, a traditional Spanish rice dish, at a local restaurant. After lunch, take a stroll along the beachfront promenade and enjoy the sea breeze.

In the evening, catch a flamenco show at Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, one of the best flamenco venues in the city. The show is a great way to experience traditional Spanish music and dance.

Day 3:

Start your day by visiting the Montserrat Monastery, located just outside of Barcelona. The monastery is perched on a mountain and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Kids will love taking the cable car up to the top of the mountain.

Afterwards, head back to the city and visit the Camp Nou Stadium, home to FC Barcelona. Take a tour of the stadium and learn about the history of the team.

For lunch, try some churros con chocolate, a traditional Spanish dessert, at a local cafe. In the afternoon, take a bike tour of the city and explore some of the lesser-known neighborhoods.

In the evening, head over to the Magic Fountain of Montjuic, a spectacular light and water show that takes place every night. The show is free and a great way to end your trip to Barcelona.
