In the afternoon, visit the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in a historic watchtower, and explore the Paro Rinpung Dzong, a stunning fortress-monastery.
Today, embark on a memorable hike to the iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery, also known as Taktsang. This sacred site clings to a cliffside, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valley. The hike takes about 4-5 hours round trip, and you can enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the serene surroundings.
After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. En route, stop at the Tamchog Lhakhang iron bridge and the beautiful Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan. In Thimphu, visit the National Memorial Chorten, the Buddha Dordenma statue, and explore the vibrant local markets.
Today, drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. En route, stop at the Dochula Pass, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas and visit the beautiful 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. After breakfast, drive to Gangtey, a picturesque valley known for its stunning landscapes and the Gangtey Monastery. Visit the monastery and take a leisurely walk through the Gangtey Nature Trail, where you can spot black-necked cranes (seasonal) and enjoy the tranquility of the area.
Today, drive to Bumthang, a region known for its rich cultural heritage and beautiful valleys. En route, stop at the Trongsa Dzong, one of the most impressive fortresses in Bhutan. In Bumthang, visit the Jakar Dzong, Kurjey Lhakhang, and explore the local villages.
After breakfast, drive to the scenic Haa Valley, located close to the border with Tibet. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and visit the Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple). Take a leisurely walk through the valley and immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere.
Today, drive back to Paro, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way. In Paro, visit the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, and explore the charming streets of the town. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Bhutanese cultural show and farewell dinner.
