3 day itinerary for Bonlieu

Itinerary

Day 1:

Welcome to Bonlieu! On your first day, I recommend starting your exploration by visiting the beautiful Cascades du Hérisson. This series of waterfalls is a true natural wonder and offers breathtaking views. Take a leisurely hike along the well-marked trails and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning scenery!

Afterward, head to Lac de Bonlieu, a picturesque lake surrounded by lush forests. You can rent a paddleboat or kayak and spend some time on the tranquil waters, or simply relax on the shore and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also try your hand at fishing in the lake.

In the evening, make your way to the charming village of Bonlieu itself. Take a stroll through the narrow streets lined with traditional houses and stop by one of the local restaurants to indulge in some delicious regional cuisine. Don't miss the opportunity to try the famous Comté cheese, a local specialty!

Day 2:

Start your second day with a visit to the Grotte des Planches, a fascinating cave system located near Bonlieu.
