Day 1: Arrival in Kota Kinabalu

After lunch, head to the Rainforest Discovery Centre, where you can explore the rainforest on foot or by canopy walkway. You may also spot some of the many bird species that call this area home.

Day 4: River Safari and Gomantong Caves

Take a river safari along the Kinabatangan River, one of the best places in Borneo to see wildlife such as proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, and hornbills. After lunch, visit the Gomantong Caves, which are home to millions of bats and swiftlets. You can also see the harvesting of bird's nests, which are used to make the famous Chinese delicacy, bird's nest soup.

Day 5: Danum Valley Conservation Area

Today, head to the Danum Valley Conservation Area, which is one of the last remaining areas of primary rainforest in Borneo. Take a guided trek through the forest and learn about the diverse flora and fauna that call this area home. You may also spot some of the many species of primates, birds, and insects that live here.

Day 6: Tabin Wildlife Reserve

After breakfast, head to the Tabin Wildlife Reserve, which is home to a variety of wildlife such as elephants, orangutans, and sun bears. Take a guided trek through the forest and visit the mud volcanoes, which are popular with wildlife. In the evening, go on a night safari to see nocturnal animals such as civets and flying squirrels.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
