Chengdu is a vibrant city with a rich cultural heritage and delicious food. Here's an ideal itinerary for 5 days in Chengdu:

Day 1: Arrival and Exploration

• Arrive at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and check into your hotel.
• Start your exploration of the city by visiting the Wenshu Monastery, one of the largest and best-preserved Buddhist temples in Chengdu.
• After that, head to Jinli Ancient Street, a bustling pedestrian street lined with traditional Chinese architecture, souvenir shops, and local snacks.
• End your day with a visit to the Sichuan Opera House to watch a traditional Sichuan opera performance.

Day 2: Giant Pandas and Hot Pot

• Start your day by visiting the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, where you can see giant pandas up close and learn about their conservation efforts.
• After that, head to the People's Park and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the lake or rent a boat to paddle around.
• In the evening, indulge in a hot pot dinner, a famous Sichuan cuisine that involves cooking raw ingredients in a boiling pot of soup.

Day 3: Leshan Giant Buddha and Tea Culture

Day 5: Shopping and Departure

• Spend your last day in Chengdu shopping for souvenirs at Chunxi Road, a popular shopping district with both local and international brands.
