Itinerary
Costa Rica is a treasure trove of natural beauty and adventure, and I’m excited to help you plan an amazing 3-day itinerary that includes all those stunning locations. Given the distances and travel times, we’ll need to be strategic about how we fit everything in. Let’s dive in!
Day 1: Corcovado National Park & Manuel Antonio
Morning:
- Start Early! Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at your accommodation or a local café. You’ll need the energy for a day of adventure!
- Corcovado National Park: Head to Corcovado National Park, which is located on the Osa Peninsula. If you can, take a guided tour to explore the park’s incredible biodiversity. Look out for monkeys, sloths, and a variety of bird species. The park is a bit remote, so plan to spend a good chunk of your morning here.
Afternoon:
- Lunch: After your Corcovado adventure, grab lunch in a nearby town like Puerto Jiménez. Try some local casado (a traditional Costa Rican dish).
- Travel to Manuel Antonio: After lunch, make your way to Manuel Antonio, which is about a 1.5 to 2-hour drive. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
Evening:
- Manuel Antonio National Park: If time allows, you can squeeze in a quick visit to Manuel Antonio National Park for a late afternoon hike. The park is famous for its beautiful beaches and wildlife.
- Dinner: Enjoy dinner at a beachfront restaurant in Manuel Antonio. The sunset views are simply breathtaking!
