26th September (Tuesday)
Morning: After breakfast, visit the famous Happy Valley Tea Estate. Take a guided tour to learn about the tea-making process and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Darjeeling tea while soaking in the lush green surroundings.
Afternoon: Head to the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre. Here, you can see artisans at work and shop for some beautiful handicrafts. Grab lunch at a nearby café.
Evening: Visit the Bhutia Busty Monastery, which offers a glimpse into the local culture and stunning views of the valley.
Dinner: Try the Glenary’s for a mix of Indian and Continental cuisine, and don’t forget to sample their delicious pastries!
27th September (Wednesday)
Early Morning: Wake up early for a trip to Tiger Hill to catch the breathtaking sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range. It’s an early start, but trust me, it’s worth it!
Breakfast: After returning to your hotel, enjoy a hearty breakfast.
Mid-Morning: Visit the Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest in the area, and see the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha.
Afternoon: Take a ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (the toy train) to Ghum. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site and a delightful experience!
Evening: Explore the local market for some shopping. You can find beautiful shawls, tea, and souvenirs.
Dinner: Enjoy a meal at the Hotel Windamere, which has a lovely ambiance and great food.
28th September (Thursday)
Morning: After breakfast, head to Batasia Loop, a beautiful garden with a war memorial and panoramic views of the mountains.
Mid-Morning: Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) to learn about the history of mountaineering in the region.
Afternoon: Spend some time at the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (I know you mentioned no zoo trip, but this is more about the conservation efforts and the beautiful surroundings). If you prefer, you can skip this and head to the nearby Tenzing Rock for some rock climbing or just enjoy the views.
Evening: Relax at your hotel or take a walk around the town.
Dinner: Try the local cuisine at the Tom & Jerry Restaurant, known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious food.
29th September (Friday)

Check-out: Make sure to check out of your hotel and head to Bagdogra Airport by around 8:00 AM to ensure you have enough time for your 12:00 PM flight.
