Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in East Spain:
Day 1: Valencia
- Start your day with a visit to the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex of museums and cultural venues.
- Next, head to the Central Market, one of the largest and oldest markets in Europe, to sample some of the local delicacies.
- After lunch, take a stroll through the historic center of Valencia, visiting landmarks such as the Cathedral and the Plaza de la Reina.
- In the evening, head to the trendy Ruzafa neighborhood for dinner and drinks at one of the many hip bars and restaurants.
Day 2: Barcelona
- Take an early morning train to Barcelona, arriving in time for breakfast at one of the city's many cafes.
- Spend the morning exploring the Gothic Quarter, with its narrow streets and historic buildings.
- After lunch, visit the Picasso Museum, which houses one of the largest collections of the artist's works.
- In the evening, head to the trendy El Born neighborhood for dinner and drinks at one of the many tapas bars.
Day 3: Salou
- Take a morning train to Salou, a popular beach town on the Costa Dorada.
- Spend the day lounging on the beach, swimming in the Mediterranean, and enjoying the many water sports on offer.
- In the evening, head to the PortAventura World theme park, which features roller coasters, water rides, and other attractions.
- Return to Valencia in the evening, and enjoy a final dinner at one of the city's many excellent restaurants.
