Day 1: Exploring Sapporo

Welcome to Hokkaido! On your first day, I recommend starting your adventure in Sapporo, the capital city. Begin your day by visiting the iconic Sapporo Clock Tower, a symbol of the city's history. Take a leisurely stroll through Odori Park, a beautiful green space that stretches for over a kilometer and is perfect for a picnic or people-watching.

Next, head to the Sapporo Beer Museum to learn about the history of beer in Japan and enjoy a tasting session. Afterward, make your way to the bustling Susukino district, known for its vibrant nightlife and delicious food. Indulge in some local delicacies like ramen or seafood at one of the many izakayas (Japanese pubs) in the area.

Day 2: Nature and Hot Springs in Noboribetsu

On your second day, venture out of the city and head to Noboribetsu, a town famous for its hot springs and stunning natural landscapes. Start your day by visiting Jigokudani, also known as Hell Valley, where you can witness the powerful volcanic activity and enjoy the unique scenery.

Afterward, make your way to the Noboribetsu Bear Park, where you can observe bears in their natural habitat. Don't forget to take a relaxing dip in one of the many hot springs in the area, such as the famous Noboribetsu Onsen, known for its healing properties.

Day 3: Coastal Beauty in Otaru

On your final day, take a trip to the charming coastal town of Otaru. Start your day by exploring the Otaru Canal, a picturesque waterway lined with old warehouses that have been converted into shops and cafes. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the canal and take in the beautiful scenery.

Next, visit the Otaru Music Box Museum, where you can admire a vast collection of intricately designed music boxes. Don't miss the opportunity to try some of Otaru's famous seafood, such as fresh sushi or grilled scallops, at one of the local seafood markets.

In the afternoon, take a short trip to Mount Tengu, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Otaru and the surrounding coastline. If you have time, visit the Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery, where you can learn about the whisky-making process and sample some of their finest creations.
