Iceland is a beautiful country with so much to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 5 days in Iceland that includes hiking and exploring natural landscapes:

Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavik

Upon arrival at Keflavik International Airport, you can take a shuttle bus or rent a car to reach Reykjavik. Spend the day exploring the city, visiting landmarks like Hallgrimskirkja Church, Harpa Concert Hall, and the Sun Voyager sculpture. You can also check out some of the local restaurants and bars for a taste of Icelandic cuisine.

Day 2: Golden Circle Tour

Take a guided tour of the Golden Circle, which includes three of Iceland's most popular attractions: Thingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss waterfall. You can hike through Thingvellir National Park, where you'll see the rift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. At Geysir, you'll witness the Strokkur geyser erupting every few minutes. Finally, at Gullfoss, you'll see a stunning two-tiered waterfall.
