Italy is a beautiful country with so much to offer, and I'm sure you'll have an amazing time. Here's an itinerary for 3 days in Italy, with a special birthday itinerary for the 12th day:

Day 1: Rome

• Start your day with a visit to the Colosseum, one of the most iconic landmarks in Rome. You can take a guided tour or explore on your own.
• After the Colosseum, head to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, which are located nearby. These ancient ruins offer a glimpse into the history of Rome.
• For lunch, head to Trastevere, a charming neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and cafes. Try some traditional Roman dishes like carbonara or cacio e pepe.
• In the afternoon, visit the Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica. The Vatican Museums are also worth a visit if you have time.
• For dinner, head to Piazza Navona, a beautiful square with plenty of restaurants and street performers.

Day 2: Florence

• Take a train from Rome to Florence, which takes about 1.5 hours.
• Start your day with a visit to the Uffizi Gallery, which houses some of the most famous works of art in the world.
• After the Uffizi, head to the Duomo, the iconic cathedral of Florence. You can climb to the top for stunning views of the city.
• For lunch, head to Mercato Centrale, a bustling food market with plenty of options.
• In the afternoon, visit the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo's David.
• For dinner, head to Oltrarno, a neighborhood across the river with plenty of restaurants and bars.

Day 3: Cinque Terre

• Take a train from Florence to Cinque Terre, which takes about 2.5 hours.
• Spend the day exploring the five picturesque villages that make up Cinque Terre. You can hike between the villages or take a train.
• For lunch, try some fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants in the area.
• Spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing on the beach.
• For dinner, head to Riomaggiore, one of the most charming villages in Cinque Terre.

Birthday Itinerary for ## Day 4:

• Start your day with a relaxing morning at the hotel pool or spa.
• For lunch, head to a beachside restaurant for some fresh seafood and cocktails.
• In the afternoon, take a boat tour along the Amalfi Coast. You'll see stunning views of the coastline and have the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear waters.
• For dinner, head to a Michelin-starred restaurant for a special birthday meal.
• After dinner, head to a rooftop bar for drinks and views of the city.
