After that, head to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill to explore more ruins and learn about the city's past. For lunch, grab some pizza al taglio (Roman-style pizza by the slice) at a local bakery.
In the afternoon, wander through the charming streets of Trastevere, known for its lively atmosphere and beautiful architecture. Stop by the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere before enjoying a traditional Roman dinner at a trattoria.
Day 2: Florence
Take an early train to Florence, the heart of the Renaissance. Start your day at the Uffizi Gallery, home to masterpieces by artists like Michelangelo and Botticelli. Afterward, cross the Ponte Vecchio and explore the Oltrarno neighborhood, known for its artisan workshops and authentic vibe.
For lunch, try some delicious panini from a local shop or head to the Mercato Centrale for a variety of food stalls. In the afternoon, visit the stunning Duomo and climb to the top for panoramic views of the city. End your day with a gelato tasting at one of Florence's best gelaterias.
Day 3: Cinque Terre
