Kashmir is a beautiful destination for honeymooners, and September is a great time to visit as the weather is pleasant and the crowds are relatively low. Here's an ideal itinerary for 5 days in Kashmir:

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

• Arrive at Srinagar airport and check into your hotel or houseboat on Dal Lake.
• Spend the day relaxing and enjoying the scenic views of the lake.
• In the evening, take a shikara ride on the lake and watch the sunset.

Day 2: Srinagar sightseeing

• After breakfast, head out to explore the city of Srinagar.
• Visit the famous Mughal Gardens - Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi.
• In the afternoon, visit the Shankaracharya Temple, which offers panoramic views of the city.
• In the evening, enjoy a traditional Kashmiri dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Gulmarg

• After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, which is about 50 km from Srinagar.
• Enjoy the scenic drive through the mountains and valleys.
• Once you reach Gulmarg, take the gondola ride to the top of the mountain for breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
• You can also go horse riding or trekking in the meadows.
• Return to Srinagar in the evening.

Day 4: Pahalgam

• After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, which is about 90 km from Srinagar.
• On the way, stop at the saffron fields and the ruins of Awantipora.
• Once you reach Pahalgam, visit the Betaab Valley, which is named after the Bollywood movie "Betaab" that was shot here.
• You can also go for a pony ride to the Baisaran Valley or take a short trek to the Kolahoi Glacier.
• Return to Srinagar in the evening.

Day 5: Departure

• After breakfast, check out of your hotel or houseboat and head to the airport for your flight back home.
• If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs at the local markets.
