Kenya is a beautiful country with so much to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 5 days in Kenya:
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your driver/guide who will transfer you to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up, you can spend the rest of the day exploring Nairobi. You can visit the Giraffe Centre where you can feed giraffes or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where you can see baby elephants being fed.
After breakfast, you will depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes about 5-6 hours but it's worth it as you'll get to see some stunning scenery along the way. Once you arrive, you can check into your lodge/camp and have lunch. In the afternoon, you'll go on a game drive where you'll have the opportunity to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) as well as other wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, and wildebeests.
Today, you'll spend the whole day on a game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You'll have the chance to see more wildlife and also witness the Great Migration if you're visiting between July and October. Your guide will take you to the best spots for viewing wildlife and you'll also have a picnic lunch in the park.
After breakfast, you'll leave the Maasai Mara National Reserve and head to Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive takes about 4-5 hours and you'll arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll go on a game drive where you'll see flamingos, rhinos, and other wildlife. You can also visit the Baboon Cliff for stunning views of the park.
After breakfast, you'll leave Lake Nakuru National Park and head back to Nairobi. You can stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for some amazing photos before continuing to Nairobi. Once you arrive in Nairobi, you can do some last-minute shopping or visit the Nairobi National Museum before being transferred to the airport for your flight home.
I hope this itinerary helps you plan your trip to Kenya!
