Itinerary
London is a fantastic city to explore with kids, and I'm happy to help you plan your itinerary for two days. Here's what I suggest:
Day 1:
Start your day by visiting the iconic . This historic castle has been a royal palace, a prison, and even a zoo over the centuries. You can take a guided tour with one of the Yeoman Warders (also known as Beefeaters) to learn about the castle's history and see the Crown Jewels.
After exploring the , head across the to the . Here, you'll find the , a giant Ferris wheel that offers stunning views of the city. You can also visit the , which has over 600 species of marine life.
For lunch, grab some fish and chips from a local pub or try some street food from one of the many vendors along the South Bank.
In the afternoon, take a stroll through , one of London's largest parks. You can rent bikes or pedal boats to explore the park's many paths and waterways. If you're lucky, you might even spot some of the resident swans!
End your day with a visit to the West End, London's theater district. There are plenty of family-friendly shows to choose from, including The Lion King, Matilda, and Aladdin.
Day 2:
Start your day with a visit to the , one of the world's greatest museums. The museum has an incredible collection of artifacts from around the world, including the Rosetta Stone and the Elgin Marbles.
After the , head to , a bustling shopping and entertainment district. You can watch street performers, browse the shops, and grab lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area.
In the afternoon, take a ride on the Hogwarts Express at the . This behind-the-scenes tour takes you through the sets, costumes, and props used in the Harry Potter films.
End your day with a visit to , the official residence of the British monarch. You can watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony, which takes place daily during the summer months (and every other day during the rest of the year).
