Itinerary

London is a fantastic city with so much to see and do, and I’m excited to help you plan your 3-day adventure. Let’s dive right in!

## Day 1: Classic London Sights

Morning:

• Breakfast: Start your day with a hearty breakfast at a local café. Try a traditional English breakfast if you can!
• Buckingham Palace: Head over to Buckingham Palace to catch the Changing of the Guard ceremony (check the schedule, as it doesn’t happen every day). It’s a quintessential London experience!

Midday:

• St. James's Park: Take a leisurely stroll through St. James's Park, which is right next to the palace. It’s a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.
• Westminster Abbey: Next, make your way to Westminster Abbey. This stunning Gothic church is steeped in history and is where many royal ceremonies take place.

Afternoon:

• Lunch: Grab a quick bite at a nearby pub or café. Fish and chips are a must-try!
• Houses of Parliament & Big Ben: After lunch, walk over to the Houses of Parliament and snap some photos of Big Ben (now known as the Elizabeth Tower).

Evening:

• London Eye: End your day with a ride on the London Eye for breathtaking views of the city as the sun sets. It’s a great way to see the skyline!
• Dinner: Find a cozy spot along the South Bank for dinner. There are plenty of options, from street food to sit-down restaurants.

## Day 2: Culture and History

Morning:

• Breakfast: Fuel up at your hostel or a nearby café.
• British Museum: Start your day at the British Museum. It’s free to enter and houses an incredible collection of art and antiquities from around the world.

Midday:

• Covent Garden: After the museum, head to Covent Garden. Explore the shops, watch street performers, and maybe grab a snack from one of the food stalls.

Afternoon:

• Trafalgar Square: Walk over to Trafalgar Square and take in the sights. Don’t forget to check out the National Gallery if you’re an art lover (also free entry!).
• Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a nearby café or grab a sandwich to go.

Evening:

• Soho & Chinatown: Head to Soho for some vibrant nightlife and then stroll through Chinatown. It’s a great area to explore and find dinner.
• Theatre Show: If you’re interested, catch a West End show! You can often find discounted tickets at the TKTS booth in Leicester Square.

## Day 3: Markets and Neighborhoods

Morning:

• Breakfast: Start your day with a light breakfast at your hostel or a local bakery.
• Borough Market: Head to Borough Market for a foodie paradise! Sample delicious street food and local produce.

Midday:

• Tower of London: After the market, make your way to the Tower of London. Explore the history and see the Crown Jewels. It’s a must-see!

Afternoon:

• Tower Bridge: Just a short walk away, visit Tower Bridge. You can walk across it and even visit the exhibition inside.
• Lunch: Grab lunch at a nearby café or pub.

Evening:

• South Bank Walk: Take a leisurely walk along the South Bank of the Thames. It’s a lovely area with great views and plenty of street performers.
• Dinner: End your trip with dinner at a riverside restaurant or pub. Enjoy the view of the river and the city lights!

Accommodation:

For a budget-friendly stay, look for hostels like YHA London Central or Generator London, which often have dormitory beds around $20. They’re both centrally located and offer a great atmosphere for meeting fellow travelers.

Tips:

• Get an Oyster card or a contactless payment card for easy travel on public transport.
• Wear comfortable shoes, as you’ll be doing a lot of walking!
