Los Angeles is such a vibrant city with so much to offer, and I’m excited to help you plan a fun-filled three-day itinerary for you and your son. Buckle up, because we’re about to hit the road!
Day 1: Arrival and Exploring Hollywood
Morning: Arrival at LAX
- After landing at , pick up your rental car. Make sure to grab a map or download a navigation app if you haven’t already!
Late Morning:
- Head to Hollywood Boulevard (about a 30-minute drive from LAX). Stroll along the and see the stars of your favorite celebrities. Don’t forget to snap a few photos!
Lunch:
- Treat yourselves to lunch at , a classic Hollywood eatery. It’s been around since 1919 and has a great atmosphere. Try their famous burgers or a classic steak!
Afternoon:
- After lunch, drive to Griffith Park and visit the . The views of the city and the iconic Hollywood sign are breathtaking! Plus, you can explore the exhibits and even look through the telescopes if the weather is clear.
Evening: Sunset at the
- If there’s a concert or event at the , consider catching a show. If not, just enjoy the sunset views from the area. It’s a beautiful spot to relax and soak in the LA vibe.
Dinner:
- No trip to California is complete without In-N-Out! Grab a quick dinner at one of their locations. The Double-Double burger is a must-try!
Day 2: Beach Day and Santa Monica
Morning:
- Start your day with a drive to (about 30 minutes from Hollywood). Walk along the boardwalk, check out the street performers, and enjoy the quirky shops. Don’t forget to take a stroll on the famous Muscle Beach!

Night: Return to LAX
- After dinner, it’s time to head back to LAX for your departure. Make sure to leave with plenty of time to return your rental car and check in for your flight.
