Itinerary

Maui is a beautiful island with so much to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in Maui:

Day 1:

Start your day early and head to Haleakala National Park to watch the sunrise from the summit of the dormant volcano. It's a breathtaking experience that you won't forget. After watching the sunrise, explore the park and take a hike on one of the many trails.

Next, head to the town of Paia for breakfast at Cafe Mambo. This charming little cafe serves up delicious breakfast dishes like banana macadamia nut pancakes and huevos rancheros.

After breakfast, drive along the Road to Hana, which is a scenic drive that takes you through lush rainforests, past waterfalls, and along the coast. Stop at some of the many lookout points and take short hikes to see some of the waterfalls up close.

For dinner, head to Lahaina and dine at Lahaina Grill. This restaurant is known for its fresh seafood and farm-to-table ingredients.

Day 2:

Start your day with a snorkeling trip to Molokini Crater. This crescent-shaped crater is a popular spot for snorkeling and diving because of its crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life.

After snorkeling, head to the Maui Ocean Center, which is a state-of-the-art aquarium that showcases Hawaii's unique marine life.

For lunch, head to Mama's Fish House in Paia. This iconic restaurant is known for its fresh fish dishes and stunning ocean views.

In the afternoon, take a surfing lesson at one of Maui's many surf schools. Surfing is a quintessential Hawaiian activity, and Maui has some of the best waves for beginners.

For dinner, head to Merriman's in Kapalua. This restaurant offers farm-to-table cuisine and stunning sunset views.

Day 3:

Start your day with a visit to the Iao Valley State Park. This lush valley is home to the iconic Iao Needle, a 1,200-foot-tall rock formation that is steeped in Hawaiian history.

After visiting the park, head to MauiWine for a wine tasting. This winery produces wines made from grapes grown on the slopes of Haleakala.

For lunch, head to Monkeypod Kitchen in Wailea. This restaurant offers a farm-to-table menu and a great selection of craft beers.

In the afternoon, take a helicopter tour of Maui. This is a great way to see the island from a different perspective and get a bird's-eye view of some of Maui's most stunning landscapes.

For dinner, head to Mama's Fish House for a second time. It's just that good!
