Itinerary

Maui is such a beautiful island with so much to offer, and I’m excited to help you plan a fun-filled 7-day itinerary that keeps your family’s interests in mind. With Kaanapali as your base, you’ll have easy access to some fantastic beaches and cliff jumping spots. Let’s dive in!

## Day 1: Arrival and Beach Day

Morning: Arrive in Maui! After checking into your accommodation in Kaanapali, take a moment to settle in and soak up the beautiful surroundings.

Afternoon: Head to Kaanapali Beach for some relaxation. This beach is perfect for families, with soft sand and gentle waves. You can rent some beach chairs and umbrellas, and let the kids splash around in the water.

Evening: Enjoy a casual dinner at Duke’s Beach House, right on the beach. The sunset views are stunning, and the menu has something for everyone!

## Day 2: Cliff Jumping and Snorkeling

Morning: After breakfast, make your way to Black Rock (Pu'u Keka'a), located at the north end of Kaanapali Beach. This is a popular spot for cliff jumping, with a height of about 10-15 feet. Make sure everyone feels comfortable before taking the plunge!

Afternoon: After cliff jumping, grab some lunch at Leilani’s on the Beach. Then, rent some snorkeling gear and explore the underwater world around Black Rock. You’ll see colorful fish and maybe even a sea turtle!

Evening: Head back to your hotel to freshen up, then enjoy a family dinner at Whalers Village. There are several dining options, and you can stroll around the shops afterward.

## Day 3: Road to Hana Adventure

All ## Day: Get an early start for the Road to Hana! This scenic drive is filled with breathtaking views, waterfalls, and lush rainforests. Make sure to stop at Twin Falls for a quick hike and some swimming.

Lunch: Pack a picnic or stop at Hana Farms for some delicious local food.

Afternoon: Continue your journey to Wai'anapanapa State Park to see the black sand beach and maybe do some more cliff jumping if you’re feeling adventurous!

Evening: Head back to Kaanapali. It’s a long day, so consider a low-key dinner at your hotel or a nearby restaurant.

## Day 4: Beach Hopping and Luau

Morning: Spend the morning at Napili Bay. It’s a short drive from Kaanapali and is known for its calm waters, making it perfect for families.

Afternoon: After some beach time, head to Kapalu Beach for a little more adventure. This beach has some great spots for snorkeling and exploring tide pools.

Evening: Book a family-friendly luau, like the Old Lahaina Luau. Enjoy traditional Hawaiian food, music, and hula dancing. It’s a great way to immerse yourselves in the local culture!

## Day 5: Haleakalā National Park

Morning: Rise early and head to Haleakalā National Park to catch the sunrise. It’s a magical experience! Make sure to dress warmly, as it can be chilly at the summit.

Afternoon: After sunrise, explore the park’s hiking trails. The Sliding Sands Trail is a great option for families, offering stunning views of the crater.

Lunch: Pack a picnic to enjoy in the park or stop at a local café on your way back.

Evening: Return to Kaanapali and relax. Consider a casual dinner at Maui Brewing Company for some local brews and tasty bites.

## Day 6: Water Sports and Relaxation

Morning: Spend the day at Kahekili Beach Park, which is great for swimming and has some excellent snorkeling spots. You can also rent paddleboards or kayaks for some fun on the water!

Afternoon: After lunch, take it easy. You can either relax on the beach or explore the nearby Kaanapali Golf Courses if anyone in the family is interested in golfing.

Evening: Treat yourselves to a nice dinner at The Feast at Lele in Lahaina, where you can enjoy a multi-course meal with a beautiful ocean view.

## Day 7: Last Day Relaxation and Departure

Morning: Spend your last morning soaking up the sun at Kapalua Bay. It’s a beautiful spot for swimming and relaxing.

Afternoon: Enjoy a leisurely lunch at The Plantation House with stunning views of the ocean and golf course.

Evening: Depending on your flight time, you might have a little more time to explore or do some last-minute shopping at Whalers Village before heading to the airport.

And there you have it! A week filled with adventure, relaxation, and family fun in Maui. Make sure to take lots of pictures and enjoy every moment. Safe travels! 🌺🌊
