Mexico City is a vibrant and exciting destination with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in Mexico City:

Day 1:

Start your day by visiting the iconic Zocalo, the main square of Mexico City. Here you can see the impressive Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace, which houses Diego Rivera's famous murals. After exploring the square, head to the nearby Templo Mayor, an ancient Aztec temple that was discovered in the 1970s.

For lunch, try some delicious street food at one of the many stalls in the nearby Mercado de San Juan. In the afternoon, visit the Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as the Blue House, where the famous artist lived and worked. End your day with a stroll through the trendy neighborhood of Condesa, where you can find plenty of bars and restaurants for dinner.

Day 2:

Start your day by visiting the impressive Chapultepec Castle, which sits atop a hill overlooking the city. The castle houses the National Museum of History, where you can learn about Mexico's fascinating past. Afterward, take a walk through the beautiful Chapultepec Park, which is home to several museums and attractions.

For lunch, head to the trendy Roma neighborhood, where you can find plenty of hip cafes and restaurants. Day 3:

Start your day by visiting the stunning Teotihuacan pyramids, located just outside of Mexico City. This ancient city was once one of the largest in the world and is home to several impressive pyramids, including the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon.

For lunch, head back to Mexico City and try some delicious tacos al pastor at El Huequito, a local favorite. In the afternoon, visit the historic neighborhood of Coyoacan, where you can find the beautiful Church of San Juan Bautista and the colorful market of Mercado de Coyoacan. End your day with a visit to the stunning Palacio de Bellas Artes, which is home to several impressive murals and hosts concerts and performances throughout the year.
