Mexico City is a vibrant and exciting destination with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 6 days in Mexico City:

Day 1: Arrival and Exploring the Historic Center

• Arrive in Mexico City and check into your hotel
• Head to the historic center of the city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
• Visit the Zocalo, the main square of the city, and see the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace
• Explore the Templo Mayor, an ancient Aztec temple that was discovered in the 1970s
• Have dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area, such as El Cardenal or Azul Historico

Day 2: Museums and Chapultepec Park

• Start the day with a visit to the National Museum of Anthropology, which has an incredible collection of artifacts from Mexico's pre-Columbian civilizations
• After the museum, head to Chapultepec Park, which is one of the largest urban parks in the world
• Visit the Chapultepec Castle, which is now a museum with exhibits on Mexican history and culture
• Take a stroll through the park and enjoy the greenery and fresh air
• Have dinner at Pujol, one of the best restaurants in the city and a must-visit for foodies

Day 3: Teotihuacan and Street Food

• Take a day trip to Teotihuacan, an ancient Mesoamerican city that is home to some of the largest pyramids in the world
• Climb the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon for incredible views of the surrounding area
• After the pyramids, head back to the city and explore the street food scene
• Try some tacos al pastor, tamales, and churros from the many street vendors around the city
• End the day with a drink at a rooftop bar, such as the one at the Condesa DF hotel

Day 4: Frida Kahlo and Coyoacan

• Start the day with a visit to the Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as the Blue House, which was the artist's home for many years
• Explore the museum's exhibits on Kahlo's life and art, and see some of her most famous works
• After the museum, head to the neighborhood of Coyoacan, which is known for its bohemian vibe and colorful streets
• Visit the Coyoacan Market for some shopping and street food, and see the Church of San Juan Bautista
• Have dinner at El Califa, a popular taqueria in the area

Day 5: Xochimilco and Lucha Libre

• Take a morning trip to Xochimilco, a network of canals and floating gardens that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
• Rent a colorful trajinera boat and take a leisurely ride through the canals, while enjoying food and drinks from vendors on other boats
• After Xochimilco, head back to the city and get ready for a night of Lucha Libre, Mexican wrestling
• Watch the high-flying acrobatics and colorful costumes of the wrestlers at the Arena Mexico
• Have a late-night snack at El Huequito, a popular taqueria near the arena

Day 6: Shopping and Departure

• Spend the morning shopping for souvenirs and gifts at the many markets and shops around the city
• Visit the Mercado de la Ciudadela for traditional Mexican crafts and the Mercado de San Juan for gourmet food items
• Have a final meal at one of the city's many great restaurants, such as Contramar or Quintonil
• Depart for the airport and say goodbye to Mexico City, with memories that will last a lifetime!
