Napa Valley

Napa Valley is such a beautiful destination, and I’m excited to help you plan a fabulous 3-day itinerary. Let’s make sure you get to enjoy the wine train, a hot air balloon ride, delicious meals, and of course, some fantastic wineries. Here we go!

Day 1: Arrival and Wine Train Adventure

Morning:

• Arrive in Napa Valley and check into your hotel or cozy B&B. If you’re feeling peckish, grab a light breakfast at a local café like Model Bakery for their famous English muffins.

Late Morning:

• Head over to the Napa Valley Wine Train. Make sure to book your tickets in advance! The train offers a scenic ride through the vineyards, and you’ll get to enjoy a delightful wine tasting experience onboard.

Lunch:

• Enjoy a gourmet lunch on the train. The menu often features seasonal ingredients paired with local wines, making it a perfect introduction to Napa’s culinary scene.

Afternoon:

• After the train ride, take some time to explore downtown Napa. Check out the local shops, art galleries, and maybe grab a coffee at Brewed Awakening.

Evening:

• For dinner, make a reservation at Bistro Don Giovanni. This charming Italian restaurant has a lovely outdoor patio and offers delicious dishes paired with local wines. Don’t forget to try their famous garlic bread!

Day 2: Hot Air Balloon and Winery Visits

Early Morning:

• Rise and shine! Start your day with a breathtaking hot air balloon ride. Companies like Napa Valley Balloons offer early morning flights that give you stunning views of the vineyards and rolling hills as the sun rises. It’s an unforgettable experience!

Brunch:

• After your balloon adventure, head to Oxbow Public Market for brunch. You can find a variety of options, from fresh pastries to hearty breakfast burritos. Grab a coffee from St. Helena Coffee Roasters to fuel your day!

Late Morning to Afternoon:

• Spend the afternoon visiting some wineries. I recommend starting with Domaine Carneros for their sparkling wines and beautiful chateau. Then, head to Robert Mondavi Winery for a classic Napa experience and a tour of their vineyards.

Evening:

• For dinner, treat yourself to a meal at The French Laundry (if you can snag a reservation!). If not, Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch is a fantastic alternative with farm-to-table dishes and a lovely atmosphere.

Day 3: Relaxation and Exploration

Morning:

• Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation or try Grace’s Table for a delicious start to your day.

Late Morning:

• Spend your morning exploring more wineries. Consider visiting Castello di Amorosa, a stunning castle winery that offers tastings in a unique setting. The architecture is straight out of a fairy tale!

Lunch:

• For lunch, stop by V. Sattui Winery. They have a lovely picnic area where you can enjoy a gourmet picnic basket filled with local cheeses, meats, and fresh bread. Pair it with one of their wines for a perfect afternoon.

Afternoon:

• If you have time, take a stroll through Yountville. It’s a charming town with beautiful shops and art galleries. You can also visit the Napa Valley Museum if you’re interested in local history.

Evening:

• For your final dinner in Napa, consider Redd in Yountville, known for its contemporary American cuisine and extensive wine list. It’s a great way to wrap up your Napa adventure!

Tips:

• Make sure to book your hot air balloon ride and wine train tickets in advance, as they can fill up quickly.
• Consider hiring a driver or joining a wine tour for your winery visits, so you can fully enjoy the tastings without worrying about transportation.

I hope this itinerary helps you have an amazing time in Napa Valley! Cheers to a wonderful trip filled with great wine, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences! 🍷✨
