Nara is a beautiful city with a rich history, and it’s perfect for a family day trip. Here’s a delightful itinerary for your day in Nara, keeping in mind your constraints of traveling with a baby, using public transportation, and enjoying meals close to the sites.
Morning: Departure from Osaka to Nara
8:00 AM - Depart from Osaka
- Start your day early! Catch a train from Osaka to Nara. The Kintetsu Nara Line is a great option, taking about 40 minutes. You can also take the JR Yamatoji Line if that’s more convenient for you.
9:00 AM - Arrive in Nara
- Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the charming atmosphere of Nara. Grab a map at the station if you need one!

- Head straight to , which is just a short walk from the station. This park is famous for its free-roaming deer, and your little one will love seeing them up close! There are plenty of open spaces for your baby to enjoy, and you can take some lovely family photos.

7:00 PM - Arrive in Osaka
- You’ll be back in Osaka, hopefully with lots of wonderful memories and maybe a few souvenirs!
