Day 1: Arrive in Guwahati

On your first day, arrive at Guwahati airport and check into your hotel. Spend the day exploring the city's famous Kamakhya Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess of fertility and is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India.

Day 2: Guwahati to Shillong

After breakfast, drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. On the way, stop at the Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani, and enjoy the scenic views. In Shillong, visit the Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the culture and history of the North East.

Day 3: Shillong Sightseeing

Spend the day exploring Shillong's beautiful surroundings. Visit the Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, and the Ward's Lake. You can also go shopping at the local markets and try some delicious street food.

Day 4: Shillong to Cherrapunji

Drive to Cherrapunji, which is known as the wettest place on earth. On the way, visit the Mawsmai Cave and the Seven Sisters Falls. In Cherrapunji, visit the Nohkalikai Falls, which is the tallest plunge waterfall in India.

Day 5: Cherrapunji Sightseeing

Explore more of Cherrapunji's natural wonders. Visit the Living Root Bridges, which are made by weaving the roots of trees together. You can also visit the Dainthlen Falls and the Krem Mawmluh Cave.

Day 6: Cherrapunji to Kaziranga National Park

Drive to Kaziranga National Park, which is home to the one-horned rhinoceros. On the way, stop at the Umiam Lake and the Orchid Garden. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show by the local tribes.

Day 7: Kaziranga National Park Safari

Take an early morning elephant safari in the park to see the rhinos up close. You can also take a jeep safari to explore more of the park's wildlife. In the afternoon, visit the nearby tea gardens and learn about the tea-making process.

Day 8: Departure

On your last day, drive back to Guwahati and catch your flight back home. If time permits, you can visit the Kamakhya Temple again or go shopping for souvenirs.
