Oman is a beautiful country with so much to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 5 days in Oman:

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Muscat. Spend the day relaxing and exploring the city on your own. You can visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Mutrah Souq, and Al Alam Palace.

Day 2: Muscat City Tour

After breakfast, start your day with a city tour of Muscat. Visit the Royal Opera House, Bait Al Zubair Museum, and the National Museum of Oman. In the evening, head to the Corniche to enjoy the sunset and have dinner at one of the many restaurants overlooking the sea.

Day 3: Wahiba Sands

After breakfast, drive to Wahiba Sands, a vast desert area known for its stunning sand dunes. Enjoy a thrilling dune bashing experience and then visit a Bedouin camp to learn about their way of life. Spend the night in a traditional Bedouin tent under the stars.

Day 4: Nizwa and Jebel Shams

After breakfast, drive to Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. Visit the Nizwa Fort and the traditional souq. Then, drive to Jebel Shams, the highest mountain in Oman. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the top and hike to the abandoned village of As Sab.

Day 5: Wadi Bani Khalid and Sur

Then, drive to Sur, a coastal town famous for its dhow building industry. Visit the dhow factory and watch the craftsmen at work. In the evening, return to Muscat for your flight back home.
