Peru is a beautiful country with so much to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 4 days in Peru:

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Upon arrival in Lima, you can check into your hotel and take some time to rest and freshen up. In the afternoon, head out to explore the city. Visit the historic center of Lima, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can see the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, and the Cathedral of Lima. In the evening, enjoy some delicious Peruvian cuisine at one of the many restaurants in the city.

Day 2: Cusco and Sacred Valley

Take an early morning flight to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. From there, head to the Sacred Valley, which is home to many important Inca ruins. Visit the Pisac Market, where you can find traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. Then, visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, which was once a strategic military, religious, and agricultural center. Spend the night in the Sacred Valley.

Day 3: Machu Picchu

Wake up early and take a train to Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of Machu Picchu. From there, take a bus up to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Spend the day exploring this incredible ancient city, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Take a guided tour or explore on your own. In the evening, return to Cusco.

Day 4: Cusco

Spend the day exploring the city of Cusco. Visit the Plaza de Armas, which is the main square of the city. See the Cathedral of Cusco and the Temple of the Sun. Take a stroll through the San Blas neighborhood, which is known for its narrow streets and artisan shops. In the evening, enjoy some traditional Peruvian music and dance at a local restaurant.
