Here's a suggested itinerary for 7 days in Porto, with plenty of wine tasting opportunities:

Day 1: Arrival and City Tour

• Arrive in Porto and check into your hotel.
• Take a walking tour of the city to get your bearings and see some of the main sights, such as the Ribeira district, the Clérigos Tower, and the São Bento train station.
• In the evening, head to one of Porto's many wine bars to sample some local wines.

Day 2: Port Wine Cellars

• Start the day with a visit to the Port Wine Cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, across the river from Porto. Here you can learn about the history and production of port wine, and of course, taste some too!
• After your cellar tour, take a leisurely stroll along the riverfront and enjoy the views of Porto from across the Douro River.

Day 3: Douro Valley Wine Tour

• Today, take a full-day wine tour of the Douro Valley, one of the world's oldest and most beautiful wine regions. You'll visit several wineries, taste a variety of wines, and enjoy a traditional Portuguese lunch.
• Along the way, you'll also have the chance to admire the stunning scenery of the Douro Valley, with its terraced vineyards and winding river.

Day 4: Historic Center and Gastronomy

• Spend the morning exploring Porto's historic center, including the Cathedral, the Palácio da Bolsa, and the Lello Bookstore (said to have inspired J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series).
• For lunch, try some of Porto's famous seafood dishes, such as grilled sardines or octopus rice.
• In the afternoon, visit the Mercado do Bolhão, a bustling market where you can sample local cheeses, cured meats, and other delicacies.

Day 5: Beach Day

• If you have time, stop by a local bakery to pick up some pastéis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts) to enjoy on your journey home.
