Portugal is a beautiful country with so much to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 10 days in Portugal:

Day 1: Arrival in Lisbon

Upon arrival in Lisbon, check into your hotel and take some time to relax and settle in. In the evening, head to the Alfama district for dinner and drinks. This historic neighborhood is known for its narrow streets, colorful buildings, and lively atmosphere.

Day 2: Explore Lisbon

Start your day with a visit to the Belem Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 16th century. From there, head to the Jeronimos Monastery, another UNESCO site that is considered one of the most impressive examples of Portuguese Gothic architecture. In the afternoon, take a stroll through the Chiado neighborhood and do some shopping or people-watching.

Day 3: Day trip to Sintra

Take a day trip to Sintra, a picturesque town located just outside of Lisbon. Visit the Pena Palace, a colorful and whimsical castle that looks like it's straight out of a fairy tale. From there, head to the Quinta da Regaleira, a stunning estate with beautiful gardens and hidden tunnels.

Day 4: Porto

Take a train to Porto, a charming city located in the north of Portugal. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon exploring the Ribeira district, which is known for its colorful buildings and lively atmosphere.

Day 5: Port wine tasting

No trip to Porto is complete without a visit to one of the many port wine cellars. Take a tour and tasting at one of the famous cellars, such as Taylor's or Sandeman. In the evening, head to the Foz do Douro neighborhood for dinner and drinks.

Day 6: Douro Valley

Day 8: Aveiro

Take a day trip to Aveiro, a coastal town known as the "Venice of Portugal" due to its network of canals and colorful boats. Take a boat tour of the canals and try some of the local sweets, such as ovos moles.

Day 9: Algarve

Take a flight to the Algarve, a beautiful region located in the south of Portugal. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing on one of the many beautiful beaches.

Day 10: Lagos

Take a day trip to Lagos, a charming town located on the western coast of the Algarve. Visit the Ponta da Piedade, a stunning rock formation that offers breathtaking views of the coastline. In the evening, head back to your hotel for a final night in Portugal.
