Puerto Rico is a beautiful island with so much to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 5 days in Puerto Rico:

Day 1: Arrival and Old San Juan

• Arrive at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and check into your hotel.
• Head to Old San Juan, the historic district of the city. Walk around the colorful streets and admire the colonial architecture.
• Visit El Morro, a 16th-century fortress that offers stunning views of the ocean and the city.
• Have dinner at one of the many restaurants in Old San Juan, such as La Bombonera or Raíces.

Day 2: Beach Day and El Yunque National Forest

• Start the day with a visit to Luquillo Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Relax on the white sand and swim in the crystal-clear water.
• After lunch, head to El Yunque National Forest, the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. Hike to La Mina Falls and enjoy the lush vegetation and wildlife.
• Return to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Culebra Island

• Take a ferry from Fajardo to Culebra Island, known for its pristine beaches and turquoise waters.
• Spend the day at Flamenco Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Snorkel, swim, and sunbathe.

Day 4: Ponce and Guánica Dry Forest Reserve

• After lunch, head to the Guánica Dry Forest Reserve, a unique ecosystem with cacti, succulents, and other desert-like plants.
• Return to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 5: Camuy River Cave Park and Departure

• Drive to Camuy River Cave Park, home to one of the largest cave systems in the world. Take a guided tour of the caves and admire the stalactites and stalagmites.
• Return to San Juan and have lunch at La Placita de Santurce, a popular food market with many options.
• Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before heading to the airport.
