Rhode Island is a beautiful state with plenty of things to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in Rhode Island:

Day 1:

Start your day with a visit to the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence. This zoo is home to over 100 species of animals, including elephants, giraffes, and zebras. After spending a few hours at the zoo, head over to the Rhode Island State House, which is located in downtown Providence. This beautiful building is the home of the Rhode Island General Assembly and is open to the public for tours. In the evening, head over to Federal Hill, which is known as the "Little Italy" of Providence. Here, you can enjoy some delicious Italian food and drinks.

Day 2:

Start your day with a visit to Newport, which is located on the southern coast of Rhode Island. Newport is known for its beautiful mansions, which were built by wealthy families during the Gilded Age. Take a tour of the Breakers Mansion, which was the summer home of the Vanderbilt family. After the mansion tour, head over to the Cliff Walk, which is a 3.5-mile trail that runs along the coast. The views are absolutely stunning! In the evening, head over to Bowen's Wharf, which is a popular spot for shopping and dining.

Day 3:

Start your day with a visit to the Block Island Ferry, which is located in Point Judith. Take a ferry ride to Block Island, which is a small island located off the coast of Rhode Island. The island is known for its beautiful beaches and scenic views. Spend the day exploring the island, and be sure to visit the Southeast Lighthouse, which was built in 1875. In the evening, head back to Providence and enjoy some live music at the Columbus Theatre.
