Rome is a beautiful city with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 2 days in Rome:

Day 1:

• Start your day early with a visit to the Colosseum, one of the most iconic landmarks in Rome. You can take a guided tour or explore on your own.
• After the Colosseum, head over to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, which are located right next to each other. These ancient ruins offer a glimpse into the history of Rome.
• For lunch, head to Trastevere, a charming neighborhood known for its narrow streets and delicious food. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from.
• In the afternoon, visit the Pantheon, a stunning temple that dates back to ancient Rome. It's free to enter and definitely worth a visit.
• End your day at Piazza Navona, a beautiful square with three fountains and plenty of street performers. Grab a gelato and enjoy the atmosphere.

Day 2:

• In the afternoon, visit the Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous fountains in the world. Legend has it that if you throw a coin into the fountain, you'll return to Rome someday.
• End your day at the Spanish Steps, a beautiful staircase that leads up to a church. It's a great place to people-watch and take in the views of Rome.
