Slovenia is a beautiful country with plenty of hidden gems to explore. Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in Slovenia that will take you off the beaten track:

Day 1:

Start your day by exploring the charming town of Škofja Loka, located just 25 km from Ljubljana. This medieval town is one of the oldest and most picturesque in Slovenia, with narrow streets, colorful houses, and a stunning castle perched on a hilltop. Take a stroll through the old town, visit the castle museum, and enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the local cafes.

In the afternoon, head to the nearby Polhov Gradec Dolomites, a range of limestone hills that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. You can hike or bike through the hills, stopping at traditional Slovenian villages along the way.

Day 2:

Today, venture into the heart of Slovenia's Julian Alps. Start your day by driving to the picturesque village of Kranjska Gora, where you can take a cable car up to the top of Mount Vitranc for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
