Southampton is a beautiful city with a rich history and plenty of things to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in Southampton:

Day 1:

Start your day with a visit to the Southampton City Art Gallery, which houses an impressive collection of modern and contemporary art. From there, head to the Tudor House and Garden, a beautifully restored 15th-century house that offers a glimpse into Southampton's past. After lunch, take a stroll through the city's historic Old Town, where you'll find charming cobbled streets, medieval walls, and plenty of independent shops and cafes. In the evening, catch a show at the Mayflower Theatre, one of the largest and most prestigious theatres in the south of England.

Day 2:

Begin your day with a visit to the SeaCity Museum, which tells the story of Southampton's maritime history and its connection to the Titanic. From there, head to the nearby Solent Sky Museum, which celebrates the city's aviation heritage. After lunch, take a walk along Southampton's waterfront, where you'll find a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. In the evening, head to the Westquay Shopping Centre, one of the largest shopping centres in the south of England, for some retail therapy.

Day 3:

Start your day with a visit to the Southampton Common, a large park in the heart of the city that offers plenty of walking trails, picnic areas, and sports facilities. From there, head to the Southampton Old Cemetery, a beautiful and peaceful spot that is home to a number of historic graves and monuments. After lunch, take a short drive to the nearby New Forest National Park, where you can explore the beautiful countryside and spot some of the area's famous ponies. In the evening, head back to Southampton for dinner at one of the city's many excellent restaurants, such as the award-winning Oxford Brasserie.
