Take some time to relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, you can explore the vibrant city of Colombo, visit the bustling markets, and indulge in some delicious Sri Lankan cuisine.
After breakfast, we will head towards Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way, we will stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can witness the adorable baby elephants being bottle-fed and bathed. In the afternoon, we will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a complex of ancient rock temples filled with stunning Buddhist murals and statues. Finally, we will reach Sigiriya, where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Today, we will explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marvel at the well-preserved ruins of palaces, temples, and statues that date back to the 11th century. In the afternoon, we will embark on a thrilling jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, famous for its large population of wild elephants. Get your cameras ready for some incredible wildlife sightings!
After breakfast, we will make our way to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. En route, we will visit a spice garden in Matale, where you can learn about the various spices and herbs that are grown in Sri Lanka. In the evening, we will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Witness a traditional cultural dance performance and immerse yourself in the rich heritage of Kandy.
Today, we will embark on a scenic train journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, also known as "Little England." Enjoy the breathtaking views of tea plantations, misty mountains, and cascading waterfalls along the way. In Nuwara Eliya, you can explore the picturesque town, visit a tea factory to learn about the tea-making process, and even enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Ella, a charming hill station surrounded by lush greenery. Ella is famous for its stunning views, hiking trails, and the iconic Nine Arch Bridge. Take a leisurely walk through tea plantations, visit the Ravana Falls, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of this beautiful town.
Today, we will head towards Yala National Park, the most famous wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka. Embark on an exciting jeep safari and keep your eyes peeled for leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Yala National Park offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with nature and experience the thrill of spotting wildlife in their natural habitat.
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. If time permits, you can visit the coastal town of Galle on the way, known for its Dutch colonial architecture and the iconic Galle Fort. Bid farewell to Sri Lanka with beautiful memories and a desire to return soon.
