Strasbourg is a charming city that’s perfect for families, and I’m excited to help you plan a fun-filled day for your family of four. With two little ones aged 4 and 7, we’ll make sure to include activities that are engaging and enjoyable for everyone. Here’s a delightful itinerary for your day in Strasbourg:

Morning: Exploring the Heart of Strasbourg

8:30 AM - Breakfast at a Local Bakery Start your day with a delicious breakfast at a local bakery. Try some fresh croissants or pain au chocolat, and maybe grab a few pastries for the kids. A popular spot is Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Kretz, where you can find a variety of tasty treats.

9:30 AM - Visit the Strasbourg Cathedral After breakfast, head to the stunning Strasbourg Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg). The architecture is breathtaking, and the kids will love the astronomical clock that performs at 12:30 PM. You can also climb the tower for a panoramic view of the city, but keep in mind it’s a bit of a climb (330 steps!). If the kids are up for it, the view is worth it!

Late Morning: Fun in the Parc de l'Orangerie

11:00 AM - Stroll to Parc de l'Orangerie Take a leisurely walk to Parc de l'Orangerie, which is about a 20-minute stroll from the cathedral. This park is perfect for families! There are playgrounds, a small lake with swans, and even a mini-zoo. The kids can run around and play while you relax in the beautiful surroundings.

12:30 PM - Lunch at the Park Pack a picnic or grab some sandwiches from a nearby café to enjoy in the park. There are plenty of lovely spots to sit and have a family lunch while soaking in the scenery.
