Itinerary

Turkey is a beautiful country with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 4 days in Turkey:

Day 1: Istanbul

Start your day by visiting the iconic Blue Mosque, also known as Sultan Ahmed Mosque. This stunning mosque is one of the most famous landmarks in Istanbul and is a must-visit. After that, head over to the Hagia Sophia Museum, which was once a church and then a mosque before being converted into a museum. It's a fascinating place to explore and learn about the history of Istanbul.

For lunch, try some traditional Turkish cuisine at a local restaurant. Don't miss out on trying some delicious kebabs or baklava for dessert!

In the afternoon, take a stroll through the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world. You can find everything from spices to jewelry to textiles here. End your day by taking a relaxing boat ride along the Bosphorus Strait, where you can enjoy stunning views of the city.

Day 2: Cappadocia

Take an early morning flight to Cappadocia, a region in central Turkey known for its unique landscape of fairy chimneys and cave dwellings. Start your day by taking a hot air balloon ride over the stunning landscape - it's truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

After breakfast, visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that features rock-cut churches and monasteries dating back to the 10th century. Then, head over to the Pasabag Valley, where you can see some of the most unique fairy chimneys in the region.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Turkish dinner and watch a whirling dervish performance, a mesmerizing dance that is part of Sufi culture.

Day 3: Pamukkale

Take a morning flight to Denizli, where you can visit the stunning natural wonder of Pamukkale. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features terraced hot springs and travertine pools that are a beautiful shade of blue.

After exploring Pamukkale, head over to the ancient city of Hierapolis, which was once a thriving Roman spa town. You can see well-preserved ruins such as the theater, the necropolis, and the Temple of Apollo.

In the evening, relax in one of the thermal baths in Pamukkale and enjoy a delicious Turkish dinner.

Day 4: Ephesus

Take a morning flight to Izmir, where you can visit the ancient city of Ephesus. This well-preserved city was once a major center of trade and culture in the Mediterranean world.

Start your day by visiting the Library of Celsus, one of the most impressive structures in Ephesus. Then, explore the Great Theater, which could seat up to 25,000 people. You can also visit the House of the Virgin Mary, a pilgrimage site for Christians.

In the afternoon, head over to Kusadasi, a charming seaside town where you can relax on the beach or do some shopping. End your day with a delicious seafood dinner at one of the local restaurants.

I hope this itinerary helps you plan your trip to Turkey!
