Turkey is a beautiful country with so much to see and do. Here's an ideal itinerary for 6 days in Turkey:

Day 1: Istanbul

Start your trip in Istanbul, the cultural and historical heart of Turkey. Begin your day by visiting the iconic Blue Mosque, followed by a visit to the Hagia Sophia Museum. After that, head to the Topkapi Palace Museum to explore the Ottoman Empire's former residence. In the evening, take a stroll through the Grand Bazaar, one of the world's largest covered markets.

Day 2: Istanbul

On your second day in Istanbul, start with a visit to the Basilica Cistern, an underground water reservoir built during the Byzantine era. Then, take a ferry ride along the Bosphorus Strait to see the city from a different perspective. In the afternoon, visit the Spice Bazaar to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of Turkish spices and sweets.

Day 3: Cappadocia

Take a morning flight to Cappadocia, a unique region known for its fairy chimneys, cave dwellings, and hot air balloon rides. Upon arrival, take a guided tour of the Goreme Open Air Museum, which features rock-cut churches and monasteries dating back to the 10th century. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Turkish dinner and watch a whirling dervish performance.

Day 4: Cappadocia

Wake up early for a hot air balloon ride over the stunning landscape of Cappadocia. Afterward, take a hike through the Red and Rose Valleys to see more of the region's unique rock formations. In the afternoon, visit the Kaymakli Underground City, a complex of tunnels and rooms used as a shelter during times of war.

Day 5: Pamukkale

Take a morning flight to Denizli to visit Pamukkale, a natural wonder known for its white terraces of travertine. Spend the day exploring the ancient city of Hierapolis, which was built on top of the hot springs that created the terraces. Don't forget to take a dip in the warm mineral waters!

Day 6: Ephesus

On your last day in Turkey, visit the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world. Explore the ruins of the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Artemis, and the Great Theater. In the afternoon, head back to Istanbul for your flight home.
