Itinerary

Planning a 3-day Umrah itinerary is an exciting journey, and I’m here to help you make the most of it. Let’s dive into your spiritual adventure in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina!

## Day 1: Arrival in Mecca

Morning:

  • Arrival in Mecca: Once you arrive, check into your hotel and freshen up. Make sure to have your Ihram ready, as you’ll be donning it before entering the Miqat (the designated boundary for entering Mecca).
  • Miqat: If you’re coming from a nearby city, stop at the Miqat to enter into the state of Ihram. This is a beautiful moment to set your intentions for your Umrah.

Afternoon:

  • Perform Umrah: Head to the Masjid al-Haram. The first thing you’ll do is perform Tawaf, which involves circling the Kaaba seven times in a counter-clockwise direction. Take your time, soak in the atmosphere, and pray for your loved ones.
  • Sa’i: After Tawaf, proceed to perform Sa’i, walking between the hills of Safa and Marwah seven times. This is a great time for reflection and prayer.

Evening:

  • Dinner: Enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants. Try some traditional Saudi dishes!
  • Tawaf al-Ifadah: If you’re feeling up to it, you can perform Tawaf al-Ifadah, which is a significant part of Umrah. Otherwise, you can rest and prepare for the next day.

## Day 2: Exploring Mecca

Morning:

  • Fajr Prayer: Start your day with the Fajr prayer at Masjid al-Haram. The tranquility of the early morning is truly special.
  • Visit the Kaaba: Spend some time near the Kaaba, making du’a (supplication) and reflecting on your journey.

Afternoon:

  • Lunch: Grab a bite at a local café or your hotel.
  • Visit Mount Arafat: If time permits, consider visiting Mount Arafat, where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) delivered his final sermon. It’s a significant site, especially during Hajj, but worth a visit for Umrah too.

Evening:

  • Maghrib and Isha Prayers: Attend the Maghrib and Isha prayers at the mosque. The atmosphere is electric, filled with devotion and spirituality.
  • Dinner: Enjoy dinner at a restaurant with a view of the Kaaba. It’s a perfect way to end your day.

## Day 3: Medina

Morning:

  • Travel to Medina: After breakfast, take a bus or taxi to Medina. The journey is about 4-5 hours, so enjoy the scenery along the way!
  • Check into your hotel: Once you arrive, settle in and refresh yourself.

Afternoon:

  • Visit the Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi): Head to the mosque, which is a must-visit. Spend time in prayer and reflection. Don’t forget to visit the Rawdah, the area between the Prophet’s tomb and his pulpit, which is a garden from the gardens of Paradise.

Evening:

  • Dinner: Enjoy a meal in Medina, perhaps trying some local delicacies like Mandi or Kabsa.
  • Explore the City: Take a leisurely stroll around the mosque and the surrounding area. The ambiance in Medina is peaceful and welcoming.

Bonus Tips:

  • Stay Hydrated: The weather can be quite hot, so keep yourself hydrated.
  • Respect Local Customs: Dress modestly and be respectful of the local culture.
  • Take Your Time: This journey is about spirituality, so don’t rush. Enjoy every moment!

I hope this itinerary helps you have a fulfilling and memorable Umrah experience! If you have any specific interests or needs, feel free to ask! Safe travels! 🌙✨
