7 day itinerary for Urumqi

Personalized with:

Create a diverse tourist itinerary for the Urumqi region (China) for several days. Please note that we arrive on November 3, 2025, at 22:10. After that, we will go through airport control and go to check in at the Aifeel Hotel (Renmin Cinema Urumqi). Address: No. 12, Lane 8, Wenhua Road, Tianshan District, Urumqi, Xinjiang, China. We depart back at 23:20 on November 10, 2025. We will be staying at this hotel all these days. I (41 years old) am traveling on this trip with my wife (34 years old).We plan to get around mainly by metro, but also by trains and taxis. When creating the itinerary, please consider travel time from point to point. We are interested in authentic places, ancient districts, local color, beautiful views, local cafes, and delicious food.Optimize the trip budget to fit within $400-500 for two (not considering that we have already bought plane tickets, paid for the hotel, and local SIM cards).Be sure to include visits to places such as Tianchi Lake (Heavenly Lake), Turpan Ancient City of Jiaohe, Hongshan Park (Red Hill), Xinjiang Museum, and Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar. And I don't know if it's worth going to Nanshan, because it will be very cold there on our dates, and these dates are probably not the best for visiting this place.Advise on what to buy as souvenirs. I want something authentic, inexpensive, to please friends and family. Please indicate where it's best to look (markets, shops) and the approximate cost.We are flying without checked baggage. We will only have hand luggage. Each of us will have a suitcase (Height 55 cm, Width 40 cm, Depth 20 cm, suitcase weight 2.6 kg, and it is allowed to carry it with a maximum weight of 10 kg) and a backpack (dimensions 40x30x10 cm, it is allowed to carry it with a maximum weight of 5 kg).
