Itinerary

Victoria is such a beautiful city with stunning nature all around. With your group of four and a focus on short treks, I’ve crafted a delightful two-day itinerary that balances nature, exploration, and a bit of fun. Let’s dive in!

## Day 1: Exploring the Heart of Victoria

Morning: Beacon Hill Park

  • Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at a local café. I recommend The Blue Fox Café for their delicious brunch options.
  • After breakfast, head over to Beacon Hill Park. This park is a gem! You can stroll through the gardens, check out the petting zoo, and enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean. There are several short trails, so you can easily keep your trek under 2 km while soaking in the scenery.

Midday: Inner Harbour

  • After your park adventure, make your way to the Inner Harbour. This area is iconic and perfect for some photos! You can walk along the waterfront, admire the Parliament Buildings, and maybe even catch a street performer.
  • For lunch, grab some fish and chips at Red Fish Blue Fish, a popular spot right on the waterfront. It’s casual, but oh-so-delicious!

Afternoon: Royal BC Museum

  • Post-lunch, head to the Royal BC Museum. It’s a fantastic place to learn about the natural and human history of British Columbia. The exhibits are engaging, and it’s a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Evening: Dinner and Sunset

  • For dinner, consider Il Terrazzo for some Italian cuisine or The Fish Store for fresh seafood. Both are excellent choices!
  • After dinner, take a stroll back to the Inner Harbour to catch the sunset. The views are breathtaking, and it’s a perfect way to end your first day.

## Day 2: Nature and Adventure

Morning: Goldstream Provincial Park

  • Start your day with breakfast at Jam Café, known for its hearty portions and cozy atmosphere.
  • After breakfast, head to Goldstream Provincial Park (about a 30-minute drive from downtown Victoria). Here, you can explore the Goldstream Trestle. The trek to the trestle is about 1 km one way, and the views of the river and surrounding forest are stunning!

Midday: Lunch at a Local Spot

  • After your trek, pack a picnic lunch or head back towards Victoria and stop at The Village Restaurant in Langford for some local fare.

Afternoon: Lochside Regional Trail

  • Post-lunch, make your way to the Lochside Regional Trail. You can choose a short section to walk, enjoying the views of the ocean and the Gulf Islands. The trail is flat and easy, making it perfect for a relaxed stroll.

Evening: Dinner and Relaxation

  • For your final dinner, consider The Keg Steakhouse + Bar for a nice meal with a view of the water.
  • If you’re up for it, finish your trip with a visit to Craigdarroch Castle. The castle is beautiful at night, and you can explore the grounds and enjoy the architecture.

Tips:

  • Make sure to check the weather and dress accordingly, as it can be a bit unpredictable!
  • Bring a camera; you’ll want to capture all the beautiful moments!
  • Don’t forget to hydrate and enjoy some local snacks along the way!

I hope this itinerary helps you and your friends have an amazing time in Victoria! Enjoy the beautiful nature and the vibrant city! 🌲🌊✨
