Vietnam is a beautiful country with so much to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 9 days in Vietnam for a couple:

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Hanoi. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city on your own. You can visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, and the Old Quarter.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour

After breakfast, start your day with a guided tour of Hanoi. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, and the Ethnology Museum. In the evening, enjoy a traditional water puppet show.

Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise

After breakfast, depart for Halong Bay, one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world. Board a traditional junk boat and cruise through the emerald waters, passing by thousands of limestone islands and islets. Enjoy lunch and dinner on board while taking in the stunning scenery.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the bay before returning to the harbor. After disembarking, transfer back to Hanoi for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival, transfer to Hoi An and check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the charming ancient town of Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An Walking Tour

Take a walking tour of Hoi An's old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Old House, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, and the local market. In the afternoon, take a cooking class and learn how to make some of Vietnam's most famous dishes.

Day 6: My Son Sanctuary Tour

After breakfast, take a half-day tour to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient ruins of the Cham Empire and learn about their history and culture. Return to Hoi An in the afternoon for some free time.

Day 7: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, transfer to Danang for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the city on your own. You can visit the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office.

Day 8: Cu Chi Tunnels Tour

Take a half-day tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. Learn about the history and tactics used by the guerrilla fighters. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon for some free time.

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
