Vietnam is a beautiful country with so much to explore. Here's an ideal itinerary for 9 days in Vietnam that covers the main cities and villages:

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be picked up by your private driver and transferred to your hotel in Hanoi. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city on foot. Visit the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, and the Temple of Literature. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese dinner.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour

After breakfast, start your day with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, and the Presidential Palace. After lunch, visit the Museum of Ethnology and the Ngoc Son Temple. In the evening, watch a water puppet show.

Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise

After breakfast, depart for Halong Bay, one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world. Enjoy a cruise through the bay, visiting caves and islands along the way. Overnight on board the boat.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hoi An

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, continue your cruise before returning to the harbor. From there, transfer to Noi Bai airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An Ancient Town

Spend the day exploring the charming ancient town of Hoi An. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Chinese Assembly Hall, and the Tan Ky Old House. Take a stroll along the Thu Bon River and enjoy the local cuisine.

Day 6: My Son Sanctuary

Take a half-day trip to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient ruins of the Cham Empire and learn about their history and culture. Return to Hoi An in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Hoi An - Hue

After breakfast, depart for Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. En route, stop at the Hai Van Pass and Lang Co Beach for some stunning views. Upon arrival in Hue, visit the Imperial Citadel and the Thien Mu Pagoda.

Day 8: Hue City Tour

After breakfast, take a boat trip along the Perfume River to visit the tombs of the Nguyen Emperors. Visit the Tomb of Tu Duc, the Tomb of Khai Dinh, and the Tomb of Minh Mang. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Hue-style dinner.

Day 9: Departure from Hue

After breakfast, transfer to Phu Bai International Airport for your flight back home.
