A trip to Yellowstone is an adventure of a lifetime, and I’m excited to help you plan a fun-filled 5-day itinerary that’s perfect for you and your teenager. Let’s dive right in!

## Day 1: Arrival in Bozeman, MT

Morning:

• Fly into Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) from Nashville (BNA).
• Pick up your rental vehicle. A spacious SUV would be great for comfort and all your gear!

Afternoon:

• Drive to your accommodation. I recommend staying at the Gray Wolf Inn & Suites in West Yellowstone. They have a heated indoor pool, which is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring!

Evening:

• After checking in, grab a bite at The Slippery Otter Pub. They have a great menu with options that teens will love, like burgers and pizza.
• If you have time, take a stroll around the town of West Yellowstone. It’s charming and has some fun shops to explore.

## Day 2: West Yellowstone & Geysers

Morning:

• Start your day with breakfast at Running Bear Pancake House. Their pancakes are a hit!
• Head into Yellowstone National Park through the West Entrance. Your first stop should be Old Faithful. Make sure to check the predicted eruption times!

Afternoon:

• After watching Old Faithful, explore the Upper Geyser Basin. The boardwalks make it easy to see other geysers and hot springs, like Castle Geyser and Morning Glory Pool.
• Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park. There are plenty of scenic spots!

Evening:

• Return to West Yellowstone and take a dip in the heated pool at your hotel.
• Dinner at Madison Crossing Lounge for some delicious comfort food.

## Day 3: Wildlife & Scenic Views

Morning:

• Early breakfast at your hotel, then head to Lamar Valley for some wildlife viewing. This area is known for bison, elk, and even wolves! Bring binoculars for a better view.

Afternoon:

• Drive to Mammoth Hot Springs. Explore the terraces and take in the unique geothermal features.

## Day 4: Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Morning:

• Breakfast at The Breakfast Club in West Yellowstone.
• Drive to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Stop at Artist Point for breathtaking views of the canyon and the falls.

Afternoon:

• Hike the South Rim Trail for more stunning views. It’s a relatively easy hike and perfect for teens!
• Have a picnic lunch at one of the scenic overlooks.

Evening:

• Head back to West Yellowstone. If you’re up for it, stop by the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center to learn about local wildlife.
• Dinner at The Wild West Pizzeria & Saloon for some fun and tasty pizza.

## Day 5: Departure Day

Morning:

• Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel.
• Depending on your flight time, you might have a chance to visit Yellowstone Lake for a quick stroll or some last-minute photos.

Afternoon:

• Drive back to Bozeman, return your rental vehicle, and catch your flight back to Nashville.

Tips:

• Make sure to pack layers! The weather can change quickly in Yellowstone.
• Bring a refillable water bottle and snacks for the road.
• Don’t forget your camera for all the amazing sights!
