Yellowstone National Park is a fantastic destination for families, with plenty of opportunities to explore the great outdoors and see some incredible wildlife. Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in Yellowstone:

Day 1:

• Start your day early and head to Old Faithful, one of the most famous geysers in the park. You can watch it erupt every 90 minutes or so, and there are plenty of boardwalks and trails to explore in the area.
• After seeing Old Faithful, head to the nearby Upper Geyser Basin to see other geysers and hot springs, including the colorful Grand Prismatic Spring.
• In the afternoon, take a scenic drive through Hayden Valley, where you might spot bison, elk, and even grizzly bears.
• End your day with a relaxing soak in the Boiling River, a natural hot spring that flows into the Gardner River.

Day 2:

• Today, explore the Lamar Valley, which is known as the "Serengeti of North America" for its abundant wildlife. Take a guided tour or rent binoculars to spot wolves, bison, coyotes, and more.
• After lunch, head to Mammoth Hot Springs, where you can see terraces of travertine formed by hot water flowing through limestone.
• If you have time, stop by the nearby Roosevelt Arch, which marks the entrance to the park and has stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 3:

• Start your day with a hike to the top of Mount Washburn, which offers panoramic views of the park and is a great place to spot bighorn sheep and other wildlife.
• After your hike, head to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, where you can see the stunning Lower Falls and hike along the rim of the canyon.
• In the afternoon, take a dip in the Firehole River, a popular swimming spot with warm water and beautiful scenery.
