Yellowstone National Park is a vast and beautiful place, so here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in the park:
Day 1:
- Start your day early and head to , one of the most famous geysers in the world. You can watch it erupt every 90 minutes or so.
- After that, take a walk around the and explore other geysers like , , and .
- Next, drive to the , which is the largest hot spring in the United States. The colors of the spring are absolutely stunning and it's definitely worth a visit.

Day 2:
- Start your day by visiting the , which are located in the northern part of the park. The terraces are made up of travertine, a type of limestone, and they're constantly changing due to the hot water flowing through them.
- After that, drive to , which is known as the "Serengeti of North America" because of its abundant wildlife. Here you can spot bison, elk, wolves, and even grizzly bears if you're lucky.
- In the afternoon, head to the , which is a 20-mile-long canyon with two stunning waterfalls: and . You can hike down to the base of the falls or take a scenic drive along the rim.
Day 3:
- Start your day by hiking to the top of , which offers panoramic views of the park. The trail is about 6 miles round trip and is moderately difficult.
